I am honored to participate in the Woodside High School mentoring program. I get to meet young Juniors in High School who are anxious to learn more about the Recording Art’s and Sciences. When I spend time with these young people, I get a renewed sense of confidence in the future. Reach out and give our kids a helping hand if you can. ProTools 10 with OS X 10.8
The Cave is now running ProTools 10! We waited until the current release of 10.3.2 which is stable with Mountain Lion 10.8.2. Effects are stunning in that there is more head room and the playback image is much more vivid. Come check it out soon!

Today, We integrated two (split mono) Telefunken/Siemens vintage 1968 Mic Preamplifiers into the signal chain at the Cave. We are very excited about this acquisition. No wonder the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin and any and everybody else who loves the electric guitar uses these in their signal chain. Because they are off the chain. To learn more, call us!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure to work with Ms. Lilan Kane and two of her colleagues, fellow vocalist’s who came in to sing some BG’s on a cover of a Candi Staton tune called, “Evidence”. Besides having a great sense of who she is, Lilan has soul and can back it up. I have the pleasure of working with many local, SF Bay Area artist’s. But for me, this was a first. When Lilan arrived at the studio, yesterday, she was carrying a road case that said AKG on it. Little did I know what treasure I would find inside. It’s day’s, no, moment’s like this that inspire me to keep the doors open at The Cave.
